This workshop covers basics and applications of Bioinformatics and is open to all the registered participants of VLSE-2022. Laptop not required but you can bring your laptop if you have one. This workshop will cover the following topics:

• Bioinformatics database search

• PubMed literature search

• Gene reports (Genbank)

• Proteins (Genpept)

• BLAST

• Nucleotide and protein sequences pairwise alignment

• Multiple sequence alignment
