Ms. Madhuri Vissapragada: Applications of Synthetic Biology in plastic degradation.

Ms. Madhuri Vissapragada is an undergraduate student in her final year B.Sc. (BZC) from Dr. Lankapalli Bullayya College, Visakhapatnam. She completed her internship in Life Sciences at TCABS-E, Visakhapatnam in early 2020 and moved onto research project that involves applications of Synthetic bacterial cells that naturally biodegrade plastics. Her goal is to decrease the global plastic burden as humans refuse to stop using plastics. She later became the program manager for Synthetic Biology platform at TCABS-E, Visakhapatnam and participated in TCABS-E Juniorette Faculty Recruitment-2021. Publication: Vissapragada 2021.

Ms. Madhumita Aggunna: Multi-omics approach for Cancer immunotherapy success rate.

Ms. Madhumita Aggunna is an undergraduate student, just completed B.Tech (Biotechnology) from GITAM, Visakhapatnam. Starting with the Life Science internship program at TCABS-E, Visakhapatnam, she started asking the question why Cancer immunotherapy works only for some patients and is not universal in early 2020. Her goal is to investigate the reason for immunotherapy success rate by using a multi-omics approach that would answer most of her questions. She later became the program manager for OMICAS-Multiomics platform at TCABS-E, Visakhapatnam and participated in TCABS-E Juniorette Faculty Recruitment-2021. Publication: Aggunna 2021.

Ms. Santhinissi Addala: Ethical repurposing the endometrial stem cells from the menstrual fluid.

Ms. Santhinissi Addala is an undergraduate student in her final year B.Sc. (BZC) from Dr. Lankapalli Bullayya College, Visakhapatnam. She completed her internship in Life Sciences at TCABS-E, Visakhapatnam in early 2020 and moved onto research project that involves applications of endometrial stem cells isolated from the menstrual fluid. Her goal is to design a non-invasive method for stem cell acquisition that is fully ethical. She later became the program manager for Stem Cell Biology platform at TCABS-E, Visakhapatnam and participated in TCABS-E Juniorette Faculty Recruitment-2021. Publication: Addala 2021.

Ms. Niharikha Mukala: Immune-booster medicine for infectious diseases using immunomics.

Ms. Niharikha Mukala is an undergraduate student who completed B.Sc. (Biotechnology) from Aditya Degree College, Visakhapatnam. Starting with the Life Science internship program at TCABS-E, Visakhapatnam in 2020, she was curious about the differential behavior of human immune system. Her goal is to design an universal immune-booster shot that can be taken whenever needed to protect oneself from infectious diseases. She later became the program manager for IDIOMA-Immunomics platform at TCABS-E, Visakhapatnam and participated in TCABS-E Juniorette Faculty Recruitment-2021. Publication: Mukala 2021.
